Stop Chasing RSVPs in Group Chats

Everyone answers an invitation eventually — in five different chats, three of them private, one with a "maybe" that never resolves. Then you have to guess a number for the caterer.

An RSVP QR code puts every answer in one list. Guests scan the invitation, tap yes or no, and you see the count in one place instead of reconstructing it from memory.

Why It Works

One list, not five chats

Answers land in the same form, so counting means reading a number rather than scrolling conversations.

Ask the extra questions once

Dietary needs, plus-ones, song requests — collected while the guest is already answering, not chased later.

Nobody has to type a link

A printed URL on a card gets mistyped or ignored. A code takes one tap from the invitation.

Works for any invitation

Printed cards, a photo sent in a chat, or a poster on the office wall — the same code works from all three.

How to Set It Up

  1. 1

Make the form first: Google Forms, Typeform, or whatever you already use. Keep it to three questions or fewer.

  2. 2

Paste its link into the generator above and download the code.

  3. 3

Put it on the invitation with a deadline next to it — "Please reply by 12 May" doubles the response rate of a bare code.

  4. 4

Send a reminder a week before to whoever has not answered; the list makes it obvious who that is.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I put in the RSVP form?

Name, coming or not, and one more thing you genuinely need — usually plus-ones or dietary requirements. Every extra field costs you replies, and a half-finished form is worse than a short one.

Can I see who has replied?

In your form tool, yes — that is where the answers live. The QR code tells you how many people scanned, which is a useful early signal: lots of scans and few replies usually means the form is too long.

What if I need to change the date after sending invitations?

With a dynamic code you repoint it to an updated page, and the invitations already in people's hands keep working. With a static code, the link is fixed once printed.
