Typing an IBAN from paper into a banking app is where payments go wrong: one wrong character and the transfer fails, or worse, the money sits in limbo for days. An EPC QR code — also called GiroCode or SEPA QR — removes the typing entirely.

How to Set It Up

Fill in the beneficiary name and IBAN exactly as they appear on your bank account. The generator checks the IBAN as you type.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which banking apps can scan an EPC QR code?
Support is widest in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Finland and the Netherlands, and growing elsewhere in the euro area; many apps show it as "scan to pay" or "photo transfer". Support varies by bank, so always keep the IBAN printed as text too. Outside SEPA, and for non-euro accounts, the code does not apply.
Can I use it for currencies other than euro?
No. The EPC standard covers SEPA credit transfers in euro only. For other currencies, link a QR code to your payment page or provider instead.
Do you see or store my bank details?
No. The free generator builds the code entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent to our servers. The code is static, so it keeps working forever and cannot be tracked or edited.
Is it safe to put my IBAN on a QR code?
It contains exactly what you already print on an invoice: a name and an account number, which can only receive money. The payer always sees and confirms the transfer in their own banking app before anything is sent.
